Murmurations is a composition for solo piano that depicts the nature of Starlings, a small and social songbird known for their murmuration, a fascinating synchronized flocking. This solo is aimed to depict the Starlings' display with a fluid and complex pattern throughout the piece. Originally written for the composition class at Missouri State University in 2025 and further revised in 2026, Murmurations is a nature-inspired Piano solo that features polyrhythmic motifs and contemporary harmony.
